• About Neil

    Neil Cabana, the owner of Los Angeles-based Dog and King LLC, is a seasoned music veteran with over 25 years of industry experience as a performer, songwriter, and producer. Neil began in the metal and punk scenes in his native Providence, Rhode Island, playing lead guitar and doing lead vocals. His bands, including Giant Robot, Taming Butterflies, and Sleestack, toured up and down the East Coast in the 1990s, opening for Pantera, Henry Rollins, Ween, The Dictators and more.

    After expanding into hip-hop in the late 1990s, Neil worked with DJ Next from Amalgam Digital on mix tapes and other projects. Neil then moved to New York City, founding Pink Lady Records and working with Ryan Leslie on several Motown record placements. His work with Jaheim on 2002’s Still Ghetto helped the album achieve platinum status, while the 2004 album Need by Neil’s band Daisy Ricochet scored #1 and #2 hits on XM Radio and placements on MTV's Real World and Road Rules. Neil also collaborated with Reddi, co-writing songs that placed on NBC’s Lipstick Jungle in 2008. 

    Since relocating to the West Coast in 2010, Neil has worked in artist development, writing and producing songs for artists including Casey, Jimi Bonet, Vangard, The 27, Henry Parker, and Phil Cody. He has also composed music for feature films, including 2016’s Stronger Than the World. Neil continues to write music and perform as a guitarist and vocalist.
